NBA: Can the Spurs Be Beaten? Stuck

San Antonio fans have tasted nothing but success since April 12 when their Spurs beat Memphis. Head Coach Gregg Popovich has led his squad to 20 consecutive wins.

If one takes into account the longest winning streaks in NBA history, this would be good for third on the list.

I'm a firm believer in jinxes. How many times have you watched a game when the commentators bring up something like a streak of 15 straight free throws made. More often than not, it seems, the player would go on to miss his very next free throw.

Perhaps bringing up the winning streak will play a part in the Spurs losing tonight. If so, please don't blame me. I don't have any ponies in this race, I just want to see a great game.

Jinxes aside, how long can San Antonio keep up this winning streak? Oklahoma City is a very good team, yet in Game 2 they didn't hold a single lead over the Spurs.

I've never been a fan of sports writers, bloggers, or fans in general who crown a winner before the series is over. There are so many in the media who have already crowned the Spurs and Heat champions of their respective conferences. I believe that's irresponsible, but hey, we live in an age where people need to say "I predicted this months ago!".

The confidence San Antonio plays with is admirable. The way they pass the ball around is a thing of beauty. I wish my Lakers conducted themselves on the court in the same manner as the Spurs do. Instead I have to deal with a weekly soap opera in La-La Land.

With that being said, it's hard to imagine the Spurs sweeping Oklahoma City and then going on to win four straight in the NBA Finals.

Do you think San Antonio will run the table and finish the season on a 26 game winning streak?

I am a huge Spurs fan but I do not see them running the table. OKC has way too many weapons and their home court advantage is crazy! I see them closing the Thunder out in Game 6.

Looks like OKC is getting the job done tonight.

Any other streaks you guys would like me to ruin? Sorry, San Antonio!

How about you say something about my Chicago White Sox since they have won eight straight so far.
